A session designed to provide parents with information and ideas to use in parenting their gifted children.

UNWRAPPING THE GIFTS – JOYS AND CHALLENGES OF A GIFTED PARENT, presented by Jan Lanham, Ph.D.

About the program: Gifted children present unique challenges for families. Through the lens of characteristics of gifted individuals, participants will look at strategies to best support those qualities that make the gifted population unique while navigating the challenges of appropriate educational opportunities and advocacy. Come join the fun!

About the speaker:

JAN LANHAM, Ph.D., is an educational consultant with “It’s All About Education”, and a past KAGE President.  Dr. Lanham is a member of the Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame and has a vast background in gifted education, doing extensive professional development across the state.

 

Parent Night registration is FREE for current KAGE members and $10 for non-members (this includes a trial three-month KAGE membership.
