To educators and parents of gifted students in Kentucky – The current times can be quite stressful for those of us in the education field and many of us work alone as the sole GT specialist in our school systems. The KAGE Board members would like to offer to be a resource/sounding board to the GT community in Kentucky during this time of unprecedented situations. If you need advice or just want to run ideas by someone, USE THE ATTACHED LIST as a place to find those of us who are willing to listen and be a help to you if we can. COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS FOR BEST PRACTICES FOR GIFTED AND TALENTED EDUCATIONAL SERVICES UPON REOPENING
As schools consider reopening plans for the 2020-2021 school year, adjustments need to be made to ensure the needs of gifted students and advanced learners are being met. The following document was developed by the KAGE Board to provide guidance and support for meeting those needs. Board members who contributed to the document were Heather Hicks, Jan Lanham, Leann Pickerill, Genny Jenkins, Sarah Coomer, and Michael Broadbent.

With so many changes in the Fall 2020 school year, many educators are looking for helpful tips for creating engaging virtual learning experiences that follow best practices for their G/T students.
