Conference 2021 Presenters - Julia Link Roberts

Julia Link Roberts is the Mahurin Professor of Gifted Studies at Western Kentucky University. She is the Executive Director of The Center for Gifted Studies and the Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky. Dr. Roberts is President of the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children and a Board member of The Association for the Gifted and KAGE. She is co-author with Tracy Inman of Strategies for Differentiating Instruction: Best Practices for the Classroom (2009 Legacy Award for the outstanding book for educators in gifted education by the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented) and Assessing Differentiated Student Products: A Protocol for Development and Evaluation. Dr. Roberts is known as an advocate for children who are gifted and talented at the state and national levels, and for that work she received the first David W. Belin NAGC Award for Advocacy. She led a ten-year advocacy campaign that resulted in establishing the Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science, a statewide residential school.  https://www.wku.edu/gifted/about/staff/julia_roberts
